Superfly actor Kalan Walker sentenced to 50 years in prison after being found guilty of rape

Superfly actor Kalan “Kerr” Walker was sentenced Monday to 50 years in prison for raping four women and three high school girls, the Los Angeles Times announced.

Walker, 27, was also directed by Better Court Judge Joseph Brandolino to register as a sex offender until the end of his life, according to the City News Administration.

To help, Representative Chief Prosecutor Cynthia Wallace said she believes the actor is “actually a stalker.”

Walker’s attorney, Andrew Flier, did not have a quick reaction when individuals arrived. Similarly, leading Los Angeles prosecutors did not quickly return individuals’ solicitations for input.

In April, a jury in Van Nuys, Calif., found Walker guilty of three counts of effective rape, one count of assault to cause oral intercourse, two counts of statutory rape, and two counts of drunken rape, USA Today, Rolling Stone And NBC Los Angeles elaborates on that point.

The jury found Walker not guilty of one count of advanced penetration and two counts of effective rape.

“You’re going to see a cloudy side of that,” said delegate lead prosecutor Yasmin Fardghasemi, the City News Administration and NBC Los Angeles said in their initial explanation in the spring.

Starting in 2013, Walker used Instagram and Twitter to contact women — including aspiring models — via web-based entertainment, promising them open doors to professional work and meeting big names. , prosecutors said, per Rolling Stone.

Police said that over a period of more than two years, Walker would take the women alone and later physically assault them.

According to the City News Administration and NBC Los Angeles, “to the point when he said, ‘Wait,’ he couldn’t care less,” Ferdgassemi said at the time.

According to a news report from the Los Angeles Police Division, Walker was first caught in Van Nuys in 2018 after experts linked her to a series of rapes.

Walker made his film debut in Kings, which starred Halle Berry and Daniel Craig, before landing a two-episode twist on the show TV series In Scorn and a job in the transformation of the 1970s spine chiller Superfly.

He is also known for his career as a rapper, his EP The Intermission was released in 2017.

Following his sentencing in April, Walker’s legal counsel, Flier, said in an explanation to USA Today that his client “maintains his innocence” and “did not receive a proper preliminary because several important issues were stalled by the court.”

At the time, he said that his client was “portrayed as an animal” and intended to chase him.
